The unrest in Egypt has led to heightened tensions along the Egypt-Gaza border. Both Israel and Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip, have been watching the situation closely. The border is being heavily patrolled by Hamas forces, with extra troops already sent to the border to maintain security, Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports. Hamas does not want the instability in Egypt to spill over into Gaza, or for fighters on either side to breach the border.
