Virtual marriage proposals a growing trend in a world glued to the many Internet social network sites

With advancements in online social media sites, there is a growing trend of asking for someone’s hand in marriage via these avenues, as opposed to the traditional going down on one knee to pop the question.

One example is a proposal made on Facebook. On Dec 27 last year, a guy used the social network's status message feature to shout out the "question" to his then girlfriend. It was accepted with a comment on the status message five minutes later.

A marriage proposal via Twitter was reported two years ago when a twit was broadcast for a lady love's hand that accepted it via a twit reply. Read more at www.mmail.com.my
